Recovery advocates, community partners and friends came together on October 3 at The Clubhouse in Huntington, Indiana, for the annual Place of Grace Celebration Dinner. The evening was filled with compassion, connection and a shared commitment to support individuals re-entering society after incarceration and substance abuse treatment.
The event drew a record-breaking crowd of 360 attendees, and together, we celebrated resilience, hope and the transformative power of Jesus. Place of Grace graduates shared heartfelt testimonies about the life-changing impact of the ministry. Executive Director Brittany Renkenberger announced the launch of our Graduate Housing Program and the Men’s Residential Recovery Program. She also shared plans for the Family Housing Program—apartments for women regaining custody of their children after graduation—which will be under construction by the end of 2024. Marcia Thompson, a Place of Grace founder and long-term board member, was honored with the Rebecca Hawley Service Award.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we raised an incredible $56,000! These funds will directly impact men and women seeking a second chance, providing essential resources and support to help them reintegrate successfully into our community.
We are extremely grateful to all of our sponsors, donors and volunteers. Your support makes a profound difference in the lives of individuals seeking to overcome addiction, trauma and poverty.
If you could not attend this year’s Celebration Dinner, you can still partner with us by giving online.
